Another winner!!. I love to view the "other" side of the relationship. There is always two sides of a story. Nate has always been my favorite. To see in his early life and understand what makes a man what he becomes as adult is nice. So confident and self-assured and a true gentlemen. Nate knows what he wants. From day one, he wanted Juliette. He did everything right to be the perfect puzzle pierce for Juliette. I would love to see more them in the upcoming books. I am happy that the author is continuing with this series.

Nate The Princesses of Silicon Valley Book 2 edition by Anita Claire Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Nate is book four of the Princess in Silicon Valley series by Anita Claire. This book is narrated by Nate and does have some erotica; but it is tastefully done.
We met Nate in the Princess Trilogy and he is heavily dating Juliette. This book takes us back to Nate’s past and we meet all the important people in his life. In particular, we meet Mariana Castro. She is a physical therapist at the hospital where he is doing his residency. She is original Brazilian. Nate falls heavily in love with her and even asks her to marry him. All seems to be going well until he wakes up to find a Dear John note and her engagement ring. Everyone but Nate is happy with this.
Nate moves to Silicon Valley and take up with Juliette. They have an enormous amount of fun fitting in loads of interesting activities to their separate schedules. They meet Nate’s friends and Juliette’s friends and family. Everything is moving along splendidly. Then Mariana shows up at the hospital where Nate works!
Some of the book is pretty much the same that is in the trilogy about when and where and how Nate and Juliette meet and become great friends. Those parts were redundant to me as I just finished the trilogy. Not having read the trilogy or having more time between readings might have made those parts more interesting. However, we do get his perspective on what happened.

This book is hard to review. In parts, I absolutely LOVED it! In other parts, it dragged or was too rushed. The first half of the book I really liked. While it rushed through the life of the younger Nate, I liked getting to know him. When we were first introduced to him in the Juliette Trilogy, I thought he was going to be a condescending, pretentious prick. But getting an abbreviated glimpse into his school days, he was a typical guy who was ran by his hormones but he was pretty much a nice, driven, smart guy. Fast forward to around the 55% mark, we are brought up to when he meets Juliette. This section got a little boring to me as it was basically a retelling of the trilogy. While the first part was fun because we learned new things, this part presented nothing new – it was just from his POV.
However, I was happy to see that this book continued past where book 3 in the trilogy ended. While it was exciting at first to read how their relationship was progressing, I was at first a little disappointed that there seemed to be no conflict or challenge for them to overcome. But then a wrench was thrown in. But the way the conflict was resolved, it felt too rushed and didn’t feel genuine. The wrench served no greater purpose then to build tension in both Nate and the reader but it was dismissed pretty quickly without a sense of real closure.
And then, there’s that word again… CLOSURE. This book fails to give this by the time you reach the 100% mark. I still feel like there are things I need to know… Is Nate really committed…? Is he having second thoughts…? Is she really gone? I was battling in my mind where to rate this book between a 4 and a 4.5. Like I said in the beginning, some parts I thought it was perfect… others I thought it slightly failed. But over-all. I really, really liked the journey of the characters. I feel like I could almost read about them for 47 more books… Almost.
I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
This is my fourth in a row Anita Claire review; ye,s I'm loving all this Silicon Valley series, she is awesome.
Nate is the fourth book in The Princesses of Silicon Valley Series, and the first one after the Juliette Trilogy. It can totally be read as a standalone but is so much better if you read the whole series!!
The Story
Nate is a player, always has been. That is at least until he meet Mariana a beautiful Brazilian physical therapist that make him fall in love. But one day, after they get engaged she leaves with nothing more than a note.
Now Nate is heart-broken, but has learned and important lesson; he doesn't want to be a player anymore, he wants a real relationship. And meet Juliette maybe what he needs to move on from Mariana and maybe fall in love again.
My Thoughts
I love the idea of seeing both sides of the story. After reading from Juliette's point of view is so cool knowing what was going on through Nate's mind the whole time.
I also like the way the author start the book by giving a review of the most important facts of Nate's life. The ones that make him who he is now. It is divided in High School, College, Medical School and California.
I also like that there are more Nate meet the princesses chapters and that Cassie has a new boyfriend who isn't a jerk.
What I don't like is that some times I felt like I was reading a summary of the Juliette Trilogy from Nate's point of view. And also that there wasn't many details of Juliette meeting Melissa.
I can't wait for the next book, Hita, to be release and I can get my hands on it. Xo
I didn't quite connect with this character, or the whole story really. The story wasnt bad, but it just wasn't something that pulled me in, either. I see now that this is part of a triology, and since I hadn't read the other books before reading this one, maybe that's where the disconnect is.
